Tell Alberta's Government:

No-Fault Auto Insurance? No Thanks!

No-Fault Auto Insurance is Anti-Albertan.

Alberta’s government is considering a switch to No-Fault auto insurance. No-Fault systems reward bad drivers, strip away your legal rights, and don’t result in significant premium savings. They also make the system more bureaucratic. This approach does not reflect Albertan values. Let’s not import broken schemes from elsewhere at the expense of Albertan consumers like you.

NEW: April 26, 2024 - The Alberta government has released two new studies on Auto Insurance Reform and launched a survey to gather public feedback. Find the government announcement and survey link here.

As of May 2024 Alberta’s government is actively considering various reforms to automobile insurance. As part of their process the government has launched a new online public engagement survey to collect feedback from Albertans on what they value and need from their auto insurance.

One idea the government is considering – pushed hard by the insurance industry and discussed in new reports to government – is “No-fault” auto insurance.

No-fault systems reward bad drivers by removing accountability, take away your legal rights and don't tend to save consumers or taxpayers money.
